iPhone can potentially spy on you, warns Google engineer

Google software engineer Felix Krause discovered a security hole in iOS. Through it, any iOS app can take pictures and videos with the Iphone camera completely without the user’s knowledge, and send them to cloud storage. This vulnerability was demonstrated by the custom watch. User app, which requires access to the camera app when installed, like many other titles. The problem, of course, concerns both primary and secondary cameras on the body of Iphones. Krause also mentions the continuous possibility of streaming the camera of the record being recorded. The only reliable protection according to Krause is the use of an optician’s earbud. More here.

The developer has placed a short demonstration of the system security gap on YouTube. Watch a short video here.
